Pereira Pastures - Local Dairy, Local Cheese!
Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 6:33PM We are stoked to announce that we are now purchasing all natural and organic feta cheese from Pereira Creamery in Abernathy, Tx. Owner Albert Pereira is super proud of his family farm:
"We are located just outside of Lubbock Texas in a small town called Abernathy. Our farm consists of 160 acres that have been in native pasture for the last 14 years.
We relocated to Texas from California from a family Dairy which my father started in 1971. I am married to Veronica, we have two daughters Meghan 7 and Athena 2.
We had a dream of starting our own grass based dairy and marketing milk and cheese. We stumbled across this farm that had been abandoned for 12 years and in distress. Together, we have worked very hard at bringing the farm back to life.
Come taste Albert's AMAZING feta cheese on one of our pies!
